How I work
Four things worth knowing about working with me
I yap.
I like to talk, and I'll talk to anyone: engineers, call-center agents, the CEO, the person who actually has to use the thing. I ask every question, including the ones that sound dumb. That's usually how you find out what the problem really is.
Done beats perfect.
I'm not a perfectionist. Take this portfolio. I could fiddle with it forever, but guess what, I can also keep iterating on it forever. Ship it, learn, improve. Same as my work.
Systems over one-offs.
I've built design systems from scratch twice. Reusable components, clear specs and documentation are how a team moves faster without breaking things.
Fail fast, try again.
Prototypes are the cheapest way to find out you're wrong. Low cost, high impact: test, fail, test again, and eventually it clicks.
And the question everyone is asking right now...
how am I using AI?
Honestly? I'm still learning, and shifting as fast as the industry does. So far I've got my hands dirty with code contributions, shipped a few features myself, built the repository for our design system, and I'm hooked on watching a Figma wireframe actually come to life in the browser. Next up: building the skills to keep our design system and the codebase in sync, automatically.

The road so far

Day one
Born in Melbourne, Australia
Flat whites, four seasons in one day, and a habit of asking "but why?" that never really went away.

24 years later
Took myself to New York City. Alone.
One suitcase, no plan B. Curiosity and a taste for a challenge got me here, and it turns out that's the same thing that fires me up at work.

Yoshi joined me
Suddenly the city had a reason to get up early. Yoshi runs the schedule now: the walks, the parks, the bakery stops. I just hold the leash.

Off the clock
Still chasing the hard stuff
The steepest run I can find, working towards my yoga instructor certification, or cooking up whatever caught my eye on NYT Cooking this week.
Revelstoke, Canada
I don't back down from a challenge, and problem solving is one of my best strengths. Especially when I don't read the IKEA instructions and have to figure out a solve anyway.
